Keller Williams Family Reunion 2020

by Joe Sesso on February 13, 2020

It’s that time of year again, convention season. One of my favorite conventions, Keller Williams Family Reunion, is coming up this week in Dallas (Feb 14-17). I always enjoy attending this convention from the largest real estate brokerage in the U.S. With over 20,000 attendees expected, the attendance rivals that of the NAR Conference (National Association of Realtors). What I really love is the energy level at this convention. No other convention compares to the energy at Family Reunion. I don’t know how KW agents can maintain such a high level throughout four plus days, but they pull it off every year! Here are some of the things that I’m looking forward to at this year’s Family Reunion:

1. Gary Keller presentations: Gary is giving his annual “State of Your Company” presentation at 1 PM on Saturday. This is a must see for all KW agents!

Gary’s second presentation (Keynote), features International Best-Selling author and renowned speaker. His best-selling books include Start With Why (also one of the most viewed TED Talks of all time), Leaders Eat Last, Together is Better, Find Your Why: A Practical Guide for Discovering Purpose for You and Your Team, and The Infinite Game (his latest book). Look for a very inspirational and educational session here. Great for teams and leaders!

2. The Marketplace: The trade show expo floor opens Friday at 3 PM and the Homes.com booth will be filled with activity again this year. In addition to participating in the annual Family Reunion Scavenger Hunt, Homes.com will be giving away lots of free Swag. But that’s just the beginning.

On Saturday, the Lab Coat Agents (Tristan Ahumada & Nick Baldwin) will be speaking at the booth for multiple sessions on how to win at Farming as well as how to take your Social Media presence to the next level. These guys know a few things about social media. They have the largest private real estate group on Facebook today, with over 100,000 members. You don’t want to miss these sessions (11 AM and 12 PM).

You can also meet and get your picture with the Tradeshow Legend. Doing so can win you $100 from Homes.com. Stop by the booth anytime over the weekend and meet the one and only Tradeshow Legend!

3. Networking: Family Reunion is an amazing place to network and meet colleagues from around the world. Make sure you bring plenty of business cards! keller williams logo image

4. Breakout Sessions: The KW Events app is free to download and you can access the entire conference and view which sessions are going on each day. You can also bookmark your favorite sessions and plan your entire weekend so you don’t miss any of them. Two of my favorite sessions are ones I’m speaking in.

The first one is Monday at 7:45 AM. It’s entitled Real Estate Marketing for Today’s Consumer and the focus is on how to cut through all of the “noise” to reach your desired audience. I’m going to reveal some really cool data that shows you why certain ads work and why others don’t work. If you want to learn how to maximize your marketing dollars, make sure you check out this session!

The second one features the Lab Coat Agents (Tristan & Nick) on a panel to discuss SEO (Search Engine Optimization). I will be moderating this panel, and we are going to discuss the science of SEO and why it is important for every agent to have today. We are going to go in depth with Nick Baldwin about a recent case study that was done on his Keller Williams website. We are going to discuss how his website went from page 1.3 million to page one in ONLY 6 MONTHS! You don’t want to miss this session! It will be at 3:15 on Monday.

As you can see, I’m excited about Family Reunion this year. My best piece of advice is to plan your weekend with you “must do’s” but to also leave some time open for networking and checking out the Marketplace, as well as enjoying the beautiful city of Dallas.
